Rising Tide, one of the first grassroots climate groups in Australia, active since 2005, “takes direct action to confront the root causes of climate change”, and to this end, organised the People’s Blockade of Newcastle coal port in 2023.
Watch Rising Tide’s short film and hear from some of the 100+ Canberrans who attended the 2023 People’s Blockade of the World’s Largest Coal Port in Newcastle.
