Canberra & Region Quakers

Canberra & Region Quakers are a spiritual community of people living in Canberra and southern New South Wales. We are part of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Australia and worldwide. Quakers seek direct experience of the Truth through worship based on silence and a commitment to simplicity, peace, integrity, community, earth-care and equality.

Welcome to the Canberra & Region Quakers

This site is a resource for people wishing to find out about Quakers in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and nearby southern New South Wales (NSW).

Canberra & Region Meeting is part of the broader Australia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (as Quakers are formally known).

Our Meeting embraces the values of diversity and inclusion. We therefore welcome all who wish to attend our Meetings for Worship and participate in our activities.

Canberra and Region Quakers affirm and celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion. We welcome seekers of all ancestries and cultures, all sexualities and genders, all socio-economic backgrounds, all capacities and abilities and all religious and non-religious backgrounds or beliefs. We strive to value the gifts in all people because we believe that the beauty and richness of creation is in its diversity.
