The Integrity project is holding its next action at the federal parliament on Thursday, 9 February starting at 7.00 am. There is funding for fares for Friends from outside Canberra to attend. Please contact us if you are interested in participating. We promise lovely weather, no more downpours.
The National Anti-Corruption Bill was passed recently, and this is a major achievement. However, there are many other matters that need to be addressed for a democracy to flourish such as strengthening whistleblower protection, the revolving door appointments with vested interests and to government instrumentalities, capping and real time declaration of donations to political parties, the processes to decide on awarding tenders and grants, secrecy of records and Freedom of Information responses, strengthening the Code of Conduct for Lobbyists.The Integrity project will follow developments in 2023 and support constructive developments.
