Suburb Zero ACT Launch

Friday 21 April, 5:30-7:30: Suburb Zero ACT launch

We received this message that we thought may be of interest to Friends:

Dear Friends and Family

We have been involved in a small group trying to gain government support to trial the electrification of a Canberra suburb.

This trial is based on the work of Saul Griffith who is advocating that the electrification of households in Australia will lower emissions and also energy costs for households.

To prove the concept he has suggested that a number of suburbs electrify their houses, including moving to EVs. around Australia, to validate his ideas. The trial would also act as a positive way to identify barriers to electrifying homes and be an opportunity to identify solutions to rectify these barriers.

On 21 April, at the ANU, the group is launching a Canberra push to electrify a suburb. Both Saul Griffith and David Pocock will be speaking at the event.

If you’d like to join us please register at Eventbrite, https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/suburb-zero-act-launch-tickets-601031119257?aff=ebdshpsearchautocomplete . Seating is limited to 200.
