ALL PROCEEDS TO MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES
Acclaimed vocal ensemble, Eklektika, bring their sublime concert, Music & Peace, to Goulburn as part of a national tour to raise urgently-needed funds for Médecins Sans Frontières’ humanitarian work in Gaza & the Middle East.
The program includes reimaginings of Purcell, Mozart, Max Bruch, Arvo Part, George Harrison, Kate Bush, Radiohead & more, and new works by award-winning film & theatre composer, Dr Judy Stubbs, including a ‘fusion mass’ that brings together Sufi & Gregorian chant with the words of Palestinian human rights award-winning poet Mahmoud Darwish, composed under an Australia Council Grant, and her new work, Prayer for Gaza (October 2024).
With Associate Artists: Leaf Klevjer (Indian Tanpura) & Matt Bourne (Middle Eastern Percussion).
Come & light a candle in the darkness with us through the simple joy of music & friendship.
In partnership with Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network (PIEN).
