Glebe Park Festival in Support of Assange & McBride

On Sunday 12 November there will be a free music festival in Canberra’s Glebe Park to support Julian Assange and David McBride.

Several groups, including anti-war and whistle-blower campaigners, have formed a coalition under the Truth Not War banner to host this family friendly festival. It runs from 1:00-5:00pm. Glebe Park is a lovely tree-filled space perfect for picnics and barbecues, and play spaces for children.

The following day, Monday 13 November, there will be a rally at the ACT Supreme Court preceding the start of David McBride’s trial at 10am.

Speakers include Bernard Collaery, Kieran Pender, David Shoebridge, Mary Kostakidis, Sue Wareham and others from 8.30 onwards.
