Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Webinar

The WILPF Australia Environment and Climate Change Working Group invites you to a webinar with The Honourable Anna Reynolds, Lord Mayor of Hobart, Tasmania, who is a global mayoral supporter of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative.
Mayor Reynolds will share her experience of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), held in Dubai 30 November – 13 December 2023, especially how it worked to advance the treaty process.

Mayor Anna Reynolds worked for many years with several leading Australian environmental organisations before being elected to Hobart City Council. After four years as a Councillor, she was elected Lord Mayor in 2018. As a member of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, Mayor Reynolds was an early supporter of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty, an initiative organised by civil society advocates to address the key contributor to the global climate crisis.
